Sawadee krap! No, I'm not swearing at my blog or at you for that matter. Translated, this means 'hello' 'welcome' in Thai. Only two days to go in Phuket before we fly home. It's been a wonderful holiday on so many levels. Of course basking in the sun sipping Mohitos has been indulgent as have been the buffet breakfasts! It's going to be quinoa salads and steamed fish starting on December 27! But apart from the elephant trekking, white water rafting, scuba diving snorkelling, swimming and spending quality time with my husband and kids, I have been free to think of whatever I want. At home, my mind is cluttered with uni work and editing Sudan Sand which I submitted just before flying out here. Since I didn't bring any of that load with me, my mind has been like an empty space (some people may say that's the case most of the time) only to be filled with new ideas, characters and plots for new stories I want to write in 2013. I haven't written anything new all year and am itching to get on it. However, as we all know in life we can't always do what we want to when we want. January is going to be hell on wheels for me as I negotiate three assignments, one exam, edits through from SMP for SEEKING EDEN preparing for its release in April all while the kids are on holidays! But, hey, that's all part of the journey and the fun (I think) of it all. I guess I wouldn't change it for anything in the world because I love to write and I love to learn.
Wishing all who read this all the best for Christmas and the new year. Thanks for stopping by.
