Trust and Betrayal
Where did you get the idea from for this
story?
I’m not sure. It’s the first thing I ever
wrote and I just sat down and started writing (with a pen and paper). The story
just came to me as I went.
How long have you been writing for?
Eighteen months.
When you write do you stick to one genre?
I’ve bounced around a little bit, trying to
figure out what works for me.
Do you imagine a particular person you know
or have seen when creating your main characters?
Sometimes, but not usually. Two of the
characters in Trust and Betrayal are based on my daughter and her best friend.
Of all the characters in your books, who is
your favourite and why?
Nicole is the character that’s based on my
daughter, so I’m probably biased, but she’s my favorite. I enjoyed watching her
develop as a character, and admired her strength.
When writing, are you an ‘in the moment
kinda gal’ or do you follow a strict
plan?
Definitely ‘in the moment’. Sometimes I
have an idea that I’m dead set on, but by the time I sit down to write,
something completely different comes out.
What are you reading at the moment?
Delusion in Death, by J.D. Robb.
If you could be anyone for a day, who would
that be?
My husband! We think very differently, and
just once I’d love to know what’s going on in his head.
Where do you like to shop?
Complete this sentence; I’m indifferent to…
Politics. I can’t seem to work up the
interest other people have.
Thank you so much for having me, Georgie.
I’ve really enjoyed being here!
