This year has been one of new beginnings for me. Our dog, Chucky passed away in May. Not having him here with me after nearly 15 years has left a void that cannot be filled just yet. I enrolled in a Diploma of Education correspondence course at the University of New England training to be a high school teacher and have submitted, waited, edited, waited then received a contract to publish my first book, whilst writing a second. I'm not sure where I have found the time to do all of this and still run a home with three busy kids and husband. Not to mention, I had a skiing accident and needed a knee reconstruction! Despite that little glitch and losing Chucky, it's been a good year, a great year. I feel very lucky to have great family and friends and hope to make new friends with other authors (which is happening), followers of my blog and readers of my books in the months to come.
Until next time,
G
It is so hard to lose a pet! My husband and I lost our cat this year and it was as if we lost a piece of ourselves! Having the Christmas tree up doesn't even feel the same!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with you on 2012! I can't believe we're almost a month away from 2013!!
I'm a fellow publishing buddy (I have 3 shorts stories through Still Moments), so its super nice to meet you! Happy Blogging!!
