In my last blog I may have come across as your overfriendly, neighbourhood nympho! I'm not really...not much ;). On a more serious note, where the hell did this year evaporate to? It's not only me of course, but others I know are also shocked that Christmas is already upon us. As a child, the hours, days and months would drag. I was forever waiting for my birthday (in November) and Christmas. Not anymore, it seems the year is over with just a blink of an eye.
This year has been one of new beginnings for me. Our dog, Chucky passed away in May. Not having him here with me after nearly 15 years has left a void that cannot be filled just yet. I enrolled in a Diploma of Education correspondence course at the University of New England training to be a high school teacher and have submitted, waited, edited, waited then received a contract to publish my first book, whilst writing a second. I'm not sure where I have found the time to do all of this and still run a home with three busy kids and husband. Not to mention, I had a skiing accident and needed a knee reconstruction! Despite that little glitch and losing Chucky, it's been a good year, a great year. I feel very lucky to have great family and friends and hope to make new friends with other authors (which is happening), followers of my blog and readers of my books in the months to come.
Until next time,
